Over the Moon Pub & Pizza is the place where everyone is welcome. We are a homegrown, hometown restaurant, and bar in historic downtown Marietta. Our goal is to provide a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where our community and visitors can meet for great food, drinks, and entertainment.
The 150-year-old Over the Moon building was owned by Pietro Muscari, Marietta's original pizzaiolo (Italian for “master pizza maker”). Pete did pizza right. He used quality ingredients, local and regional sourced veggies and herbs, 100% real cheese, and a lot of craftsmanship. That craft was passed along to Moon and Claire Mullen in 2009. The Mullens created Over the Moon Pub & Pizza and grew it into a favorite spot for many locals as well as tourists.
In 2020, Moon Mullen retired, and Mike and Lisa Walsh acquired Over the Moon Pub & Pizza. Mike and Lisa both grew up in Marietta, graduating from Marietta High School. Mike is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and WVU. He is also a proud Army veteran. Lisa is a Marietta College and WVU alumnus, and a former teacher for St. Mary School and Marietta City Schools. After living in Texas, Central and Northern Ohio, and Florida, the Walshes returned home to be near family and friends. They are ready to take “the Moon” to the next phase. Lisa and Mike invite you to come and enjoy Over the Moon’s delicious pizzas, wings, subs, and salads with your favorite cold beverage.
Whenever possible, OTM will use local and regionally sourced ingredients. We will also feature local and regional entertainment. Most of all, we will do all we can to be THE choice for hot food, cold drinks, and good times!
